Day 3 - PHILADELPHIA
Philadelphie

In the morning, your train journey on the East Coast of the United States begins.
Make your own way to Washington Union Station and board the train for a 1h40 trip to Philadelphia. Often nicknamed “Philly,” it’s a major US city.

Leave your luggage at the centrally-located hotel and set out to explore the city at your own pace.
Philadelphia was the birthplace of the United States Declaration of Independence in 1776, written at Independence Hall, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The famous Liberty Bell is displayed near Independence Hall. The bell has become a symbol of freedom. Abolitionists, suffragettes, and civil rights leaders were inspired by its Bible inscription: “Proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof.”
Don’t miss the story of Benjamin Franklin, one of the Founding Fathers of the United States—visit the Benjamin Franklin Museum and Franklin’s house, among other sites linked to his legacy.

Philadelphia’s historic district, often called Old City, and the adjacent Society Hill neighborhood are famous for their picturesque atmosphere: cobblestone streets and restored buildings tell the story of America’s beginnings, along with artisan shops and restaurants blending traditional American cuisine and culinary innovations.
