Oviedo
Flight or train to Oviedo upon request. Discovery Trains organizes your logistics.
Individual arrival in Oviedo. Welcome by the staff of the special train El Expreso de la Robla at the company’s office from noon. You leave your luggage and enjoy your free time.
You depart for a guided city tour which includes visiting the cathedral and the Holy Chamber. Returning to the station, a welcome drink is offered to you and the crew that will serve you during this magnificent journey is introduced. You discover your train, El Expreso de la Robla, a special Renfe train dedicated to travelers headed toward Santiago de Compostela. Your train journey in Spain begins.

Viveiro
Early arrival in Viveiro. Your life on board begins with a tasting of the buffet breakfast served in the dining car.
Then you set off by coach to Ferrol. You head to the northernmost point of the Iberian Peninsula, Cape Estaca de Bares, visit freely the Playa de Bares and O Barqueiro and enjoy your time for lunch.
In the evening, return to the train by coach.
Pilgrimage option: travelers who have chosen the walking option use this day to complete the first stage on foot between Ferrol and Pontedeume (26 km).

Ortigueira
During breakfast, the train travels to Ortigueira. You head into the town for a free visit of the Sanctuary of San Andrés de Teixido and Cedeira. Enjoy your free time.
Pilgrimage option: pilgrims are dropped off at Pontedeume and picked up in Abegondo (31 km).

Ferrol
During breakfast, the train arrives in Ferrol, less than 100 km from Santiago de Compostela. Your coach takes you to Corunna where you spend the morning. Free visit. In the afternoon, the coach brings you back to Ferrol. Tonight, you will dine in a restaurant specializing in octopus dishes.
Pilgrimage option: the coach transports pilgrims to the starting point of the third stage. From Abegondo, they walk to A Callea (25 km).

Saint Jacques de Compostelle
After breakfast on board, you leave by coach to Santiago de Compostela where you can stroll around freely. In the late afternoon, return to Ferrol. While you enjoy the final dinner on board, the train sets off again for Oviedo.
Pilgrimage option: on the fourth and final stage of your tour, you depart from A Callea to reach Santiago de Compostela (27 km). Finally arrived, you can visit the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela and its crypt, where the tomb of Saint James the Greater is located.
During the night, your train departs from Santiago de Compostela and heads toward Oviedo.

The train arrives early in the morning in Oviedo.
The crew bids you farewell and your train journey ends around 11 a.m.
