Guided tour of Tallinn (on foot). Immerse yourself in the medieval atmosphere of the old town of Tallinn, behind its walls and towers. The tour includes Toompea Fortress, the Alexander Nevsky Orthodox Cathedral, the Dome Church, etc. Discover the magnificent central square, the oldest active pharmacy in Europe, as well as the Holy Spirit Church and St Catherine’s Passage, brimming with textiles and crafts.

Afternoon at leisure: by tram you can continue on to the Catherine Valley (a beautiful urban park) to admire the palace designed by Peter the Great and visit the National Art Museum, KUMU.

In the morning, take the train in the direction of Tartu – an academic city and European Capital of Culture in 2024.
After dropping off your luggage at the hotel reception, meet your guide for a guided tour of the old town with its cathedral, historic walkways, and pedestrian street.

After the tour, take a break at Town Hall Square admiring the student sculpture and the university, founded in 1632 by the Swedish king. Free evening for a walk along the river or an excursion into the typical Karlova district and the Aparaaditehas factory, converted into an artistic and gastronomic hub.

Enjoy a free morning to visit the University of Tartu’s botanical garden and also the National Museum.
In the afternoon, depart by train to Valga, a town on the Estonian border, for the connecting Latvian train that takes you to Riga.
During the journey, the regular train passes through idyllic landscapes of Gauja National Park, also known as “the Latvian Switzerland.”

On arrival, walk to your hotel. Check-in and free evening. Stroll through the cobbled streets of the medieval Hanseatic old town with its medieval facades and relax at one of the many terraces.

City tour of Riga (on foot). Discover the largest city in the Baltic States, accompanied by your guide, whose historical center is a UNESCO World Heritage site for its medieval architecture and Hanseatic influence. The tour includes the stunning Dome Cathedral, with its cloister and organ, the “House of the Blackheads”, one of the city’s symbols, but also the castle and the “three brothers” houses, and many other hidden gems. The tour continues through the Art Nouveau district and along the canal promenade.

The afternoon is devoted to discovering the Baltic coast and its main resort, the city of Jurmala (30 min each way by train / unguided). Enjoy free time to wander among wooden villas and historic buildings. Take a break in one of the typical bakeries. Walk on the beach. Return to Riga.

Day at leisure. Visit the famous central market set up in former Zeppelin hangars, and treat yourself to a canal cruise on a historic barge in Riga.
Late afternoon, walk to the Riga train station to take the train to Vilnius. The journey crosses the rural landscapes of Latvia and Lithuania—including a glimpse of the Hill of Crosses.
On arrival, walk to your hotel. Check-in and free evening in this city, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, notably for its medieval old town.

Meet your French-speaking guide at your hotel reception for an excursion to Trakai with a round trip by local train. Enjoy a scenic walk along the lake surrounding the medieval red-brick Trakai Castle. Snack/lunch at a typical Karaite restaurant—taste kybyn, meat-filled pastries, among other specialties.

Return to Vilnius and guided walking tour. You will notably admire the neoclassical Cathedral with its baroque St Casimir chapel, its historic university and 13 inner courtyards, mural paintings and St John’s church, the Bernardine garden, and St Anne’s Church, which Napoleon is said to have wanted to carry with him to France. You will also stroll through the streets of the Uzupis artists’ district, the former Jewish quarter, and to the Gates of Dawn, one of the city’s ancient entrances.
