Your rail journey begins today. Regular train to Mora, a small peaceful town in the heart of Dalarna , a region known for its folk traditions, forests, and large lakes.
Arrive in Mora according to your chosen schedule. Check in at the hotel, then enjoy an evening stroll along Lake Siljan, one of the largest lakes in Sweden.

Free morning in Mora, whose lakeside setting and cultural heritage are well worth taking your time to enjoy. We suggest a visit to the Zorn Museum (admission included).
After lunch, board the Inlandsbanan, a legendary line that runs through the centre of the country. The train takes you through the wooded landscapes of Härjedalen, with a coffee stop in Fågelsjö, followed by a dinner break in Åsarna. In the evening, arrive in Östersund, the administrative centre of Jämtland.

The train continues north through Jämtland and Västerbotten, before entering Swedish Lapland. In Vilhelmina, there is a lunch stop at a well-known local restaurant. In Sorsele, a short visit to the Inlandsbanan Museum, which traces the construction of this line over a century ago.
Arrive in Arvidsjaur in the afternoon. Free time to discover the Sami village of Lappstaden or to stroll around the town centre.

Gallivare
Free morning in Arvidsjaur (walk towards the heritage centre or a coffee break possible). In the early afternoon, continue by train northwards. Stop at the Moskosel workers’ museum, then a photo stop at the Pite River Bridge.
A little before Jokkmokk, you cross the Arctic Circle, where the train makes a stop. The route then passes through the Laponia World Heritage area before reaching Gällivare in the evening. The hotel is located right next to the station.
From early summer until mid-July, the sun does not set.

The journey continues via Kiruna and the Abisko National Park, with views of the famous mountain formation of Lapporten. You pass the Norwegian border before arriving in Narvik on the coast. This section is often regarded as one of the most beautiful rail journeys in Scandinavia.
From Narvik, transfer by road to Harstad (approximately 1 hr 30 to 2 hrs).

Morning boarding on the Hurtigruten. The ship enters Trollfjord to turn around, offering a superb natural panorama, before a stop in Svolvær, at the heart of the Lofoten Islands. You can also go ashore to explore the archipelago at your leisure (if you wish, excursions can be booked in advance).

Sailing along the Helgeland coast, dotted with more than a thousand islands and small fishing harbours. In the morning, you cross the Arctic Circle for the second time on the journey, this time heading south. Pass by the Seven Sisters, seven peaks rising to around 1,000 metres.

Early morning arrival in Trondheim, giving you a full day to explore the city. Luggage services are available at the central station.
We recommend a visit to the Nidaros Cathedral, followed by a stroll to the Ravnkloa fishing harbour.
