Luxury

The Royal Scotsman train operated by Belmond is one of the most luxurious luxury trains in the world. It was first launched in 1985. In 1990, the original carriages were removed and replaced with a new set of Pullman carriages, renovated by James Park Associates.

Gloss-lacquered wood panels and warm-toned fabrics have perfected the appeal of this Edwardian country house. The adjoining cabins, equipped with steam showers, set a new standard in comfort and heralded the birth of a luxury legend.

In 2007, the train was named Royal Scotsman and has never stopped raising the bar for style and innovation. The addition of the Bamford Haybarn Spa carriage marks a world first in the pursuit of perfect wellbeing. A true trailblazer on the rails, Royal Scotsman is an impressive way to go, steeped in the spirit of the Scottish Highlands.

The double and twin cabins measure 7.9 m² and include two single beds or a fixed double bed, a vanity unit, a full-length wardrobe, electric command heating, electric fans, windows that open, and a call button. Each cabin has its own private bathroom with a shower, a washbasin, and a toilet.
