You meet in the lobby of the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel at 8:00 AM.
During the introductory meeting for this train journey in India, you meet the onboard staff and complete the check-in formalities. Then you head to the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Station. You are welcomed with music and offered a welcome drink.
Take your seats aboard the Maharaja Express. The train leaves Mumbai in the morning and travels through the Maratha region to Udaipur.

On leaving the train, a warm traditional welcome awaits you.
You begin your discovery of the Pink City of Jaipur with a visit to the Amber Fort. Set in picturesque hills, this 16th-century building combines Hindu and Mughal architectural influences. This fortress-palace, both sturdy and romantic, is built from red sandstone and white marble. A short jeep ride takes you up to the fort, where you can enjoy a tour of the royal apartments, with breathtaking views over the gorge. Climb back into the Mughal era by entering the Hall of Mirrors (Sheesh Mahal) and the Hall of Victory.
After lunch, you can take part in an optional activity.
Option 1 : You visit the City Palace (Textiles, arms and arts museum) and Jantar Mantar (the Observatory). Option 2 : You relax at the Spa at a five-star hotel.
You then return to the train. You take your dinner onboard as the Maharaja Express sets off toward Sawai Madhopur (Ranthambore).
FATEHPUR SIKR
On arriving at Sawai Madhopur, early in the morning, get ready for a safari in Ranthambore National Park. In this wild natural setting, you will have the privilege of observing a wide variety of animal species, including tigers, leopards, monkeys, and many others.
Return to the train. You enjoy your breakfast as your journey continues toward the legendary desert Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri. Admire the changing scenery while enjoying your lunch.
On arrival at the picturesque station of Fatehpur Sikri, disembark for a visit to this fascinating site. Imposing gates, beautifully sculpted audience halls, and dreamy water features: a perfect blend of Hindu and Muslim architectural styles. This red sandstone city, now deserted, was built by the great Mughal emperor Akbar as a capital at the end of the 16th century. It is now a famous UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Return to the train. Enjoy an Indian evening onboard, followed by dinner.

PAYMENT TERMS
- Deposit: 30% of the package + insurance + flights: due at the time of booking
- Balance: 70% of the package + visas: 91 days before departure
CANCELLATION TERMS
The following fees will be retained:
- 10%: if the cancellation occurs less than 120 days before departure
- 15%: if the cancellation occurs between 90 and 119 days before departure
- 30%: if the cancellation occurs between 60 and 89 days before departure
- 55%: if the cancellation occurs between 30 and 59 days before departure
- 100%: if the cancellation occurs between 0 and 29 days before departure
