Free day to visit Quebec City. This UNESCO World Heritage city is considered the soul of French-speaking Canada. It is the only fortified city in North America and one of the country’s oldest provinces. The old town, with its cobblestone streets, stairways, and mansard-roof houses, is a true open-air museum and a pleasant place to stroll.
The Notre-Dame-de-Québec Basilica, Place Royale, and a walk along the ramparts are must-sees. The Dufferin Terrace in the upper town offers a breathtaking view of the St. Lawrence.

Early morning departure by special bus towards Baie-St-Catherine.
This town, located at the confluence of the St. Lawrence and Saguenay rivers, is world-renowned for hosting, permanently or seasonally, several species of marine mammals (rorqual, beluga, sperm whale, etc.). It is one of the best places in the world for whale watching.

On the way back, the bus stops at La Malbaie, where you leave the group.

Morning at leisure. Discover the charm of downtown La Malbaie as you stroll through its picturesque streets. Explore the Saint Peter’s Church, an historic church that often offers guided tours. Located in the Pointe-au-Pic district, which is also known for its charming architecture, including the famous Manoir Richelieu.

In the early afternoon, you’ll board another Canadian train journey experience on the Charlevoix train to Baie-Saint-Paul.
This small Canadian tourist train was launched in 2011 by the Le Massif de Charlevoix resort. Thanks to this initiative, the Charlevoix train follows the St. Lawrence for 125 km, offering splendid views of the bay and stopping in several coastal villages.

You arrive in this charming town, renowned for its many artists’ studios. The Iris Art Gallery features creations by some of the most renowned contemporary Canadian artists. Enjoy a free lunch on a terrace at one of the many cafés on the pedestrian street.
(Note: the Baie-Saint-Paul public market is held every summer Sunday.)
In just 20 minutes, you can reach the sandy beach of Baie-Saint-Paul, which stretches for several kilometers. Many Quebec families come here to picnic and enjoy the stunning view of the river and Isle-aux-Coudres.

Morning at leisure to enjoy the sea air of the St. Lawrence River. If the weather permits, settle on the beach and perhaps you’ll spot belugas in the bay, where they stay all year round.
