The old town, with its cobbled streets, staircases, and mansard-roofed houses, is a true open-air museum and a lovely place to stroll. The Notre-Dame-du-Québec Basilica, Place Royale, and a walk along the ramparts are, among others, must-sees. Dufferin Terrace, in the upper town, offers breathtaking views over the St. Lawrence River.

Free time for personal discovery. Admire the Montmorency Falls, 83 meters high; the viewpoints, accessible by cable car, panoramic staircase, or suspension bridge, are spectacular. Or take advantage of your last day to stroll in Quebec.

On board the train, you will cross the beautiful landscapes of New Brunswick before arriving in Moncton in the afternoon. Discover the largest city in this maritime province, founded by Acadians in the 1670s, which combines modernity and village charm amid wild nature.

Day dedicated to a guided tour of the Bay of Fundy and its renowned tides. They are considered the highest in the world and are the source of a Moncton curiosity, the tidal bore. The level of the river, pushed upstream by the tide, rises by more than 7 meters in just one hour.

Free day in Moncton. A visit to the Acadian Museum of the University of Moncton reveals their history. Moncton has interesting historical buildings: the Thomas Williams House, in Victorian style, the Free Meeting House, one of the oldest buildings in the city, and the Jacob Treitz House, belonging to one of Moncton’s first settlers.
And you can enjoy a unique view of the tidal bore when strolling through the Riverfront Park.

A walk of about 2 kilometers along the waterfront boardwalk is not to be missed; you’ll see the Bluenose schooner (famous Canadian fishing and racing schooner), the Maritime Museum, historic properties, shops, and street performers.
On Grand Parade Square, you’ll find City Hall, the largest and oldest public building still in good condition in Nova Scotia, St. Paul’s Church, the oldest Protestant place of worship in Canada. The citadel offers breathtaking views of the harbor and city, as do the public gardens, preserved in Victorian style.
